Jacob Imel (son of Thomas Imel and Huldah (Little) Imel) was born in 1827, in Kentucky; died 29 August 1900, and is buried at Pleasant, Switzerland County, Indiana. He married on 16 July 1846, Switzerland County, Indiana to Lucinda Travor, daughter of (John Travor and Mary (Dennis) Travor); born 1834 in Iowa. She died in 1869 and is buried at Hanover, Indiana. One of the witnesses who signed Jacob's Military Pension application on 21 July 1890 was his son John Imel, who gave his place of residence as Pleasant, Indiana. Jacob's second wife, Nancy G. (Burns) Imel, applied for a Widow's Pension on 29 September 1900, a month after Jacob died, and her son Stephen Imel was one of her witnesses. Stephen gave his place of residence as Pleasant, Indiana. I can provide the other children if requested. Otherwise this is my direct line.
